Helpful Notes
- The special stitch used in this pattern is the Moss Stitch, which is essentially chaining 1 and working a sc in the ch 1 space of the previous row.
- If you prefer to make a different size pouch, simply chain any even number of stitches then work the pattern as written.
- Work more or less repeat rows if you’d like your pouch taller or shorter.
- Before finishing off the final sc in each round with the FINAL YO, drop the yarn you’ve been working with, pick up the next color yarn, and finish the stitch by yarning over and pulling through both loops.
- To make a solid colored pouch cover, simply use one color all the way around.
- The crochet cover is attached to the canvas zipper pouch using hot glue.
- The pouch in this pattern is from Hobby Lobby. Other stores sell similar pouches, but different sizes.
- Another option if you prefer to omit the canvas pouch, is to attach a zipper to the top of the pouch.
- The pattern is available to view for free on the ad-supported Juniper & Oakes website. This ad-free PDF provides a more convenient, annoyance-free way of reading the pattern.
