This 12-inch square is worked in mosaic crochet in the round, from the center out. This technique is so much easier than you may think! It’s built from simple stitches worked in a clever way. Once you start, it all clicks. And I've provided photos and video tutorials to help you along!

The square was originally designed as part of Mosaic Grannies Collection, a year-long blanket CAL with 12 squares in total. This square works beautifully on its own or as part of a larger project. Use it to create blankets, pillows, table runners, wall hangings, or mix it with other mosaic or granny-style squares for a cohesive, handmade look.

Helpful Notes

• Pattern is overlay mosaic crochet worked in the round from the center out. A link to tutorials on mosaic crochet is provided for more information.
• If you tend to have loose tension when you crochet, you may need to go down a hook size or choose a light worsted weight yarn to make this an 12" square.
• Carry the unworked yarn under the first BLOsc of each corner, then drop the unworked yarn to the wrong side of the work and continue working.
